Californian youth should thrive, not just get by or encounter fewer difficulties. However, how can we tell if our youth are succeeding? Putting Youth On the Map (PYOM) was developed by the U.C. Davis Center for Regional Change in partnership with the U.C. Davis Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources and VESTRA Resources, Inc. (VESTRA) in order to address this question.

A data analysis viewer called Putting Youth on the Map (PYOM) offers adults and young people working to promote youth well-being in California with valuable information resources. It offers links to a range of current data sources and access to fresh analyses of youth data. A Youth Vulnerability Index and a Youth Well-Being Index are two recent innovations.
