    Project Details

TruePoint Laser Scanning was tasked with scanning a 10,000 square foot area of a recycling mill. The goal was to capture detailed data of the milling equipment, pipe runs, and exhaust hoods located both inside and outside the main building. This scanning initiative was critical for the client, who needed to replace various components of the existing equipment and accompanying piping systems. Many of these components were situated 15 to 20 feet above ground, presenting significant challenges for manual measurement. Using the advanced RTC 360 scanner, TruePoint conducted 59 scans at a remarkable rate of 2 million measurements per second. The resulting point cloud provided a comprehensive 3D representation of the facility, allowing for precise planning and confident design of new installations.
