TruePoint Laser Scanning was engaged by a client specializing in exterior envelope systems for commercial and industrial buildings to assist with the installation of Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panels on the canopy of a newly constructed airport terminal. The construction plans did not match the existing site conditions, posing a potential for significant installation issues. To address this, TruePoint conducted 3D laser scans of the canopy and curtain wall façade to capture accurate as-built data. The 3D model and drawings provided the exact measurements and layout necessary for a flawless installation, eliminating any guesswork.
