A pet nutrition manufacturer, aiming to expand its facility to boost production and add a new packaging line, invested USD 17.5 million in the expansion. TruePoint Laser Scanning conducted an as-built site survey capturing approximately 50,000 square feet of the dry mixing facility across 5 levels. The complex nature of the plant, coupled with the absence of as-built plans, posed a challenge in capturing precise spatial data of machinery, conduit, and piping. However, TruePoint's experienced project managers efficiently laser scanned the facility using state-of-the-art equipment, generating an information-rich 3D BIM model for the client.
