TruePoint Laser Scanning was commissioned to accurately measure and audit piles of scrap metal at a facility that deals in large volumes of recyclable materials. The client required precise data on the volumes of these scrap piles to ensure fair transactions with various production facilities purchasing the materials. Given the size and irregular shapes of the scrap piles, traditional measurement methods proved impractical and unsafe.
