    Project Details

    In response to Africa’s pressing agricultural challenges, a leading agribusiness entity specializing in wheat, cotton and rice production in Western Africa has adopted EOSDA Crop Monitoring to optimize its agricultural practices. The project’s focus is on enhancing rice yield and productivity despite adverse weather conditions that often disrupt farming schedules. EOSDA’s platform provides periodic satellite data and vegetation indices to monitor crop health, enabling the agribusiness to make precise adjustments in irrigation, fertilization, and pest management. By harnessing satellite data, the platform offers accurate, field-specific insights that mitigate risks associated with water shortages, excessive rainfall, and pest outbreaks. This data-driven approach reduces dependence on traditional monitoring, which was both time-consuming and costly, especially during the rainy season. EOSDA Crop Monitoring’s predictive analytics and historical data allow the company to improve resilience against climate-related risks while expanding crop yield and production capabilities.
