TruePoint Laser Scanning was engaged to capture the existing conditions of the belt press room and conveyor room within a wastewater treatment facility in Ft. Collins, Colorado. This critical project involved documenting all structural columns, beams, mechanical equipment, and large bore piping within the complex mechanical room. The goal was to create an accurate 3D model to assist the client in designing a new layout for the unused space. Utilizing advanced Leica laser scanners, TruePoint collected comprehensive data through over 274 scans, each paired with high-resolution, full-color photographs. This data was then processed into a colorized point cloud and provided as .pod files compatible with MicroStation.
