TruePoint Laser Scanning was tasked with providing 3D laser scanning services for the structural steel framework wrapping around a new sports stadium. The client, a specialist in the design, fabrication, and installation of large-scale exterior signage, needed to verify the center lines of the structural steel framework to ensure accurate fitment of their off-site manufactured components. TruePoint captured detailed point cloud data and precisely aligned it with the client’s existing 3D model, providing an exact representation of the as-built conditions of the structural steel.
