TruePoint was engaged by a client in Dallas, Texas, to perform 3D laser scanning services on the exterior facade of a residential building. The goal was to obtain precise measurements for the prefabrication of a custom wall panel system. Given the critical lead time, TruePoint was tasked with providing a rapid turnaround of the scan data. The scanning team quickly mobilized to the site and used a survey-grade Leica laser scanner to capture the detailed existing conditions at grade. TruePoint’s in-house engineers then aligned the point cloud files with the client's Revit model to verify and adjust the dimensions, ensuring the prefabricated panels would fit perfectly.
