TruePoint was engaged by an industrial chemical and service company near Dallas, Texas, to provide 3D laser scanning services for the precise dimension capture of a multi-level chemical reactor. The project scope included capturing existing conditions of vessels, mechanical equipment, piping 2" and greater, pipe supports, flanges, valves, structural steel, stairs, handrails, platforms, grade, and a cooling tower. Using these detailed scans, TruePoint developed an LOD 350 AutoCAD model that the client used to design essential modifications to the chemical reactor.
