    Project Details

Ordnance Survey set out to develop a mobile mapping system that was both efficient and cost-effective for the acquisition of precise and georeferenced point cloud data. Faced with the constraints posed by high-cost, high-grade systems for long-term data collection, they entered into a partnership with Datron Technology and OxTS. By integrating the OxTS xNAV650 INS and OxTS Georeferencer, a LIDAR georeferencing software, they successfully devised a user-friendly and scalable solution. This solution met their criteria for dependable and accurate georeferenced point clouds, which are integral for feature identification and classification purposes.
