    Project Details

This project focuses on sustainable sugarcane production by implementing EOSDA Crop Monitoring integrated pest management solutions and biological controls, to optimize field management at CMNP, one of Brazil's largest sugarcane producers. Leveraging remote sensing technology, the project enables CMNP to monitor 90,000 hectares, allowing for immediate responses to emerging pest and weed infestations. The high-resolution satellite imagery, combined with VRA maps and vegetation indices (like NDVI), provides continuous updates on crop health and field conditions, facilitating informed decisions with minimized chemical usage. Through satellite data, the project helps CMNP implement proactive measures that reduce environmental impact, save costs, and enhance yield sustainability. The use of georeferenced data allows CMNP specialists to identify specific areas requiring intervention, apply targeted treatments, and maintain consistent, eco-friendly field management.
