Northwest Marine in collaboration with Storm Geomatics Ltd., installed a crucial syphon pipe within Yorkshire's Gouthwaite Reservoir. Facing stringent tolerances and the challenges of offshore positioning, the project harnessed innovative survey techniques and advanced equipment, including the GeoSwath interferometric survey vessel and Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station. Through meticulous data collection and continuous monitoring, the team ensured the seamless integration of the syphon pipe, safeguarding vital water resources and exemplifying excellence in marine engineering and water management.
