TruePoint Laser Scanning was tasked with providing an as-built floor plan of a manufacturing plant and its equipment to assist in facilities management. The client required an accurate footprint of the existing facility to determine the space needed for relocating equipment and to assess the available square footage for installing new machinery. The scanning process targeted equipment footprints, power drops, guard rails, bollards, two interior crane structures, and the location of structural columns. The objective was to facilitate a seamless transition of equipment within the plant without disrupting ongoing operations.
