    Project Details

Poland’s Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK) has launched a modernised version of the national geoportal, reinforcing the country’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge e-services. Beyond visual upgrades, the platform introduces practical functionalities, including a new ‘Spatial Planning’ mapping layout that consolidates critical datasets—such as flood hazard maps, noise maps, landform data, and details of local development plans. The portal seamlessly integrates new types of data into the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource (PZGIK), like diagonal photogrammetric data and 3D mesh models, updated automatically from photogrammetric databases. The system also delivers regularly refreshed Database of General Geographical Objects (BDOO) data, while modernisation programmes extend to the EUPOS ASG system, gravimetric and magnetic frameworks, and photogrammetric coverage tailored for both urban and rural areas between 2024–2026.
