The Czech Land Survey Office, under the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (CUZK), has implemented a comprehensive digital infrastructure project that standardises and modernises the geodetic and geographical data ecosystem of the Czech Republic. In line with the 2023 regulation, the project integrates three binding geodetic reference systems—JTSK (national), ETRS89, and WGS 84 (international/global)—to support both domestic needs and international collaboration. The initiative involves the release of two State Map Series in various scales and projections tailored to national use and cross-border EU cooperation. These maps are available in multiple formats such as PDF, raster, and vector (DGN, SHP), with full accessibility through seamless web-based services. As part of the amended Land Surveying Act and EU Open Data Directive, key geographical datasets including orthophotos, geographic names, control points, and topographic maps are published as open data. This centralised system is contributing significantly to the digital transformation of Czech public administration, ensuring uniform access to high-quality spatial data for government bodies, businesses, and citizens.
