With consumer demand for ethical and sustainable sourcing on the rise, companies in Colombia are using satellite imagery analysis to ensure transparency in their supply chains. By employing remote sensing techniques, the project aims to identify and assess the environmental and social impacts and monitor artisanal gold mining activities in Colombia's Antioquia Department. Through collaboration with stakeholders, including local communities and government agencies, the initiative promotes responsible mining practices and contributes to positive social and environmental outcomes.
