The Siero City Council embarked on a groundbreaking project to revolutionize its sanitation network management by leveraging Mobile Mapping technology and GIS. Geograma, a pioneer in Mobile Mapping in Spain, was chosen to design, develop, and implement this comprehensive solution. The project involved creating an extensive inventory of the municipality’s sanitation infrastructure by capturing high-resolution 360º photographs and millions of 3D scanned points. These data points mapped visible sanitation elements, enabling detailed inspections and measurements directly from the GIS platform. This initiative reduces the dependency on field visits while providing municipal technicians with precise, topographic-grade measurements and an interactive "Street View"-like interface of the entire sanitation network.
