Project PLATEAU, led by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT), aims to develop a digital twin ecosystem for 500 Japanese cities by 2027. Kokusai Kogyo, a leading geospatial services company, spearheaded the initiative by creating detailed 3D city models. They focused on Numazu, integrating four city geometries to facilitate autonomous driving. The project aims to provide accessible city data for smart management, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development.
