    Project Details

Bathymetric surveys have long been vital for understanding underwater terrain and coastal mapping. With advancements in technology, Leica Geosystems introduced the Chiroptera 4X, a high-resolution LiDAR system designed for shallow water and coastal mapping. This innovative system revolutionized coastal surveys by significantly increasing point density, allowing for more accurate and detailed mapping of underwater features. Researchers utilized the Chiroptera 4X to map the Tongan archipelago in the South Pacific.
