    MarketSource, a company reliant on precise field sales deployment, embarked on a data-driven GIS initiative to optimize territory coverage, workforce allocation, and market penetration strategies. Leveraging ArcGIS Business Analyst, the team enriched trade zones around 4,000+ retail stores with demographic, lifestyle, and consumer behaviour data. This enabled them to run detailed spatial analyses, identify sales influencers, and recommend targeted store visits that maximized in-store impact. 

    The system used regression modelling with 12 years of sales data and 12 key explanatory variables to predict mobile handset sales, guiding strategic decisions across regions. By comparing thousands of locations simultaneously, MarketSource shifted from intuition-driven decision-making to quantifiable, evidence-based territory planning. The project culminated in the creation of dynamic scorecards and coverage models, significantly improving operational efficiency and client ROI while simplifying workforce deployment and retail site selection.
