    Project Details

Green spaces are crucial for health and well-being, but disadvantaged communities often lack access to them. To address this, the government allocated £9 million to the "Levelling Up Parks Fund" in 2021. This fund aims to establish or revitalize 100 urban green spaces. The Ordnance Survey (OS) helped the Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities (DLUHC) by providing data on green space access in disadvantaged areas and geospatial expertise. This information guided the fund's distribution to ensure that communities most in need benefit.
