Pressure on industries to demonstrate sustainability has increased along with public concern over climate change and the environment. The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA), which speaks for the beef sector, created one of the biggest and most thorough Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) ever released in the US in response to this pressure.

They are currently working on developing tools to help beef producers record their activities and show that their operations are sustainable in an effort to build on this work and make it even better.
