    Project Details

Geoearth collaborated with the Mexican federal government to explore undiscovered archaeological remains in the protected area of Chichen Itza. Traditional archaeological survey methods faced significant challenges due to the dense vegetation and terrain complexity. Therefore, advanced LiDAR technology mounted on the Skyfront Perimeter 8 drone was used to conduct detailed aerial surveys over a 30-square-kilometer area. The project achieved remarkable accuracy: 1.5 cm in horizontal (XY) and 3 cm in vertical (Z) measurements, exceeding expectations and uncovering more remains than anticipated.
