    Project Details

Karlsruhe, a pivotal hub in Southwest Germany's transport network, faces significant challenges with its high population, vehicle density, and tram usage. To address these issues and alleviate ground traffic congestion, the city and the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg initiated two groundbreaking tunneling projects, collectively known as "The Combined Solution." Despite widespread support, such large-scale urban projects come with inherent challenges like construction noise, disruption, and environmental concerns. To mitigate these, Karlsruhe and the Karlsruhe Rail Infrastructure Society launched an extensive information campaign, utilizing digital solutions for construction site documentation, with Leica Geosystems' surveying solutions playing a pivotal role.
