    Project Details

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, the Westlake Apartments in Savannah, Georgia, incurred significant water damage, necessitating extensive renovations across its 14 buildings, encompassing a total of 100 individual apartments. In the absence of updated building blueprints dating back to 1974, Choate Construction encountered the challenge of swiftly gathering spatial data to produce internal floorplans and external elevations for renovation purposes. Opting for mobile LiDAR technology due to its rapidity and user-friendly nature, the team conducted 14 scans (one per building) to capture essential elements such as floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, doors, and windows within the required accuracy tolerance.
