    Project Details

The Chesapeake Bay watershed, home to millions of residents and diverse ecosystems, faces challenges of water quality degradation due to pollutants. Chesapeake Conservancy, based in Annapolis, Maryland, spearheads initiatives to safeguard the Bay's natural resources. One such initiative, "Implementing Precision Conservation in the Susquehanna River," aims to enhance restoration practices and bolster river health. The Conservation Innovation Center (CIC), Chesapeake Conservancy's geospatial team, focuses on central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna River watershed. The CIC conducts parcel-scale prioritization to identify optimal restoration sites, with a primary emphasis on riparian forest buffer planting.
