This case study focuses on the restoration project of the Warleggan River in North Cornwall, UK, where advanced geospatial technology plays a pivotal role. Led by Stantec and supported by Storm Geomatics, this project aims to rejuvenate the ecosystem and biodiversity of Warleggan River in North Cornwall, UK. Through topographical and LiDAR surveys, coupled with river condition assessments, the multidisciplinary team led by Stantec and supported by Storm Geomatics meticulously mapped the terrain and evaluated ecosystem health. By harnessing geospatial intelligence and hydraulic modeling, they devised targeted strategies to rehabilitate the river channel and promote a thriving ecosystem.
