    Project Details

The rugged terrain of the Swiss Alps poses unique challenges for maintaining the country's vital motorway network. To address this, Studio Calastri, renowned for its expertise in drone and laser scanning surveys, was enlisted by the Swiss Federal Roads Office, (FEDRO), to conduct a comprehensive survey of a viaduct situated in the mountains. This viaduct, essential for highway connectivity, presented difficulties in accessibility and safety. Studio Calastri utilized advanced drone technology and specialized software to capture high-resolution aerial imagery, enabling detailed analysis of road conditions and infrastructure features, including manholes, drains, and guardrails. The project aimed to provide accurate data for maintenance planning and updating FEDRO’s records while minimizing disruption to highway operations.
