The Italian government's Marine Ecosystem Restoration (MER) Project, as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to restore marine habitats and strengthen the national system for observing marine and coastal ecosystems. Fugro, in partnership with Compagnia Generale Ripreseaeree (CGR), has been tasked with mapping the entire Italian coast, with a specific focus on Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa seagrass meadows.
