    Project Details

Nederveld, Inc. was contracted to create detailed 3D models of the rooftop and mechanical room at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago, in preparation for the installation of a new large HVAC unit. The project’s objective was to ensure the HVAC unit could be accurately placed on the limited space available on the roof, while ensuring the connection pipes could be properly aligned and integrated into the existing crowded mechanical room below. This task required capturing the as-is conditions in an environment densely packed with pipes, conduits, and other HVAC equipment, a scenario likened to "spaghetti" due to its complexity.
