TruePoint was engaged to provide comprehensive 3D laser scanning services for a warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas, which was being converted into a metal recycling facility. This project required a detailed understanding of the existing conditions of the expansive 470' x 160' x 20' space to facilitate the accurate placement of new, tall recycling equipment. TruePoint's task involved capturing every critical feature, including the building perimeter, interior walls, windows, doors, columns, joists, and structural steel. The absence of accurate drawings and the need to avoid ceiling obstructions and properly site equipment necessitated the use of state-of-the-art laser scanning technology. The data collected allowed for precise planning and ensured that the new equipment would fit without interference, optimizing the conversion process.
