The domestic lignite power plant, inaugurated in 2016, stands as the largest of its kind in Turkey. With a capacity of 450 megawatts, the plant presently fulfils approximately 2 percent of the country's energy requirements. Plant personnel have integrated geographic information system (GIS) software to monitor spatial data and modernize operations, facilitating connectivity between mobile workers and on-site miners.
