    Project Details

Operation 30 Days at Sea," launched by INTERPOL in collaboration with Europol, represents an international effort to combat marine pollution crime. This initiative, first undertaken in 2018, brought together 58 countries and 276 national agencies to address the serious threat posed by illegal discharges, ocean dumping, and violations of ship emission regulations. Leveraging advanced geospatial technologies, such as satellite imagery, aerial surveillance, vessel tracking systems, and specialized IT equipment, the operation enhanced global monitoring and enforcement capabilities. By integrating surveillance tools and fostering international cooperation, the operation not only detected and mitigated numerous marine pollution incidents but also set a precedent for future environmental protection and law enforcement efforts.
