    Project Details

In 2016-17, the Government of India initiated the National Hydrology Project, wherein India WRIS (Water Resource Information System) was revamped using the latest version of ArcGIS and integrated with the existing Water Information Management System (WIMS). This initiative created a "single window" for users to access a centralised database related to water information. The current version of India-WRIS is undergoing integration with the Water Information Management System (WIMS). This integration includes the addition of new modules that incorporate data from automated data acquisition systems set up by CWC (Central Water Commission) and CGWB (Central Ground Water Board).
