    Project Details

The District System of Environmental Information (SISDIA) project emerged in response to the Sustainability Act passed in Brazil's Federal District, mandating the creation of an ecological-economic zoning system and an environmental information system. SEMA partnered with Codex to develop SISDIA, aiming to standardize and distribute environmental data from various government agencies across the district. SISDIA consolidates data on water resources, air quality, soil, fauna, and flora into a centralized database accessible to both government entities and the public. The project involved collecting and integrating data from over 18 institutions, resulting in a comprehensive resource for informed decision-making on environmental policies and urban development.
