The provision of water and gas to consumers in Shenzhen has long been a challenging endeavor. Yet, there's a notable surge in investment aimed at enhancing the delivery of these vital utility services not only in Shenzhen but also throughout broader Chinese markets. Nationally, substantial infrastructure investment is underway, including the installation of 40,000km of new gas pipelines to connect 470 million people. Similar efforts are being made in water infrastructure to address issues such as leakage and improve overall infrastructure management. To showcase the advantages of NB-IoT connected smart meters, China Telecom and Huawei have partnered with Shenzhen Water and Shenzhen Gas.
