Dubai Municipality aims to establish Dubai as an exceptionally fulfilling city for its residents. Amid its rapid growth, the city continuously expands its commercial, business, and service sectors. This deliberate development cements Dubai's reputation as an attractive destination for living and working. To manage this growth effectively and serve its citizens, accurate and globally renowned location data is crucial. Dubai's GIS Centre Department (GISCD) assists the municipality in achieving this by providing comprehensive geospatial information.

Thus far, the collaboration between GISCD and the Ordnance Survey has delineated a targeted approach to optimize the utilization of geospatial data in Dubai. Now that this roadmap has been established, these organizations are moving forward, starting with the establishment of Dubai's geospatial maturity and ending with the initial phases of developing and testing new technologies. To provide the best results for the people of Dubai, this project is assisting in the acceleration of innovation.
