The project aimed to revolutionize plant operations and maintenance by integrating BIM models with SAP Asset Management, creating a seamless bidirectional flow of data. BIM methodology offered granular 3D models at the level of equipment, systems, and sites, providing maintenance teams with critical information such as references, locations, metadata, and associated documents. 

The integration enabled immediate synchronization between the engineering-focused BIM models and maintenance-focused SAP systems. By establishing a central Common Data Environment (CDE), validated data from both sources was integrated into a unified platform. This facilitated advanced maintenance features, such as predictive maintenance via IoT and AI, and real-time visualization and tracking through frontier technologies.
