    Project Details

The Buckhead Station Pedestrian Bridge project, undertaken by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and led by Woolpert, stands as a testament to innovative engineering and geospatial technology integration. Situated in Atlanta, Georgia, this project aimed to enhance urban connectivity by constructing a pedestrian bridge across the bustling Georgia 400 highway. Leveraging advanced 3D laser scanning and BIM, the team meticulously captured and processed detailed point cloud data to create a precise digital representation of the bridge. This allowed for immersive visualizations and accurate spatial alignment within the project site. Recognized for its engineering excellence, the project showcases how geospatial technologies revolutionize infrastructure development, fostering safer and more efficient transportation networks in urban environments.
