    Project Details

The Malta Ministry of Transport commissioned a project to inventory and map 130 km of roads across the islands of Malta and Gozo. These roads, critical for traffic and logistics, required a detailed inventory of elements like signage, barriers, intersections, and other infrastructure to enhance traffic management and plan future road modifications.

To achieve this, Geograma utilized its state-of-the-art Mobile Mapping Technology, allowing rapid, precise, and safe data collection without disrupting traffic. The process involved 3D scanning and photographic capture of roadways using a fleet of mapping vehicles, producing a high-density point cloud and georeferenced imagery. The data was processed in local facilities on the islands, ensuring project timelines were met and minimizing logistical complexities. In critical or inaccessible areas, classical topographic surveys were conducted to maintain the highest level of accuracy.
