TruePoint was engaged by an in-basin frac sand facility in the exploration and production (E&P) sector of the oil and gas industry to provide 3D laser scanning services. As the demand for frac sand surged, the client needed to upgrade their facility rapidly to handle the increased volume. TruePoint's task was to scan the entire sand facility, including vessels, piping, mechanical equipment, and structural steel, to produce an LOD 300 AutoCAD model. This model would support the client's expansion plans by providing an accurate digital representation of the existing conditions.
