    Project Details

At the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), a dedicated team embarked on creating "Project Lake Ontario," a serious game focused on simulating the flooding impacts around Lake Ontario. Using a suite of advanced Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS CityEngine, and ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unity, the team developed a realistic, interactive environment that illustrates how varying water levels can affect coastal neighborhoods. This project was part of a broader initiative to educate the public on flood risks and the implications of water level regulation policies like Plan 2014. The game aimed to provide both an educational tool for residents and a training platform for students in game development and geospatial analysis.
