Under the Smart Cities Mission, both IT and non-IT projects are designed and managed through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) mechanism. In this context, Varanasi Smart City Limited (VSCL) upholds the vision of revitalizing Varanasi into a premier destination for travel and residence. A customized solution for Varanasi relied on the extensive task of mapping and overlaying various datasets related to the city's development. Consequently, the SPV developed an integrated city GIS for the entire entity using ArcGIS Platform Technology.
