    Project Details

The Guoco Tower, a prominent development situated in Singapore's central business district, boasts a 64-story combination of office and residential spaces, a dedicated hotel block, a commercial podium, and a three-story basement that directly connects to an existing MRT station. Given the complex soil composition, which includes dolomite, limestone, mudstone, sandstone, and shale with high permeability, developers were acutely aware of potential risks associated with soil deformation during the extensive excavation required for the basements and foundations. GuocoLand entrusted Arup Singapore with the responsibility of providing civil and structural services for this ambitious project, which includes the construction of the country's tallest tower.
