For the past nine years, GM Tree Consultants, a Lancashire-based company, has been providing arboricultural services to numerous local governments, architects, planning consultants, and landowners. Under the direction of Gary Marsden, GM Tree Consultants had to generate BS 5837 surveys, which demanded more information than the software they were using at the time could provide. They needed a set of tools that would enable them to map and plan efficiently and accurately.
