    Project Details

The Browney Curve Site, located near Durham along the East Coast Main Line, has wrestled with slope stability challenges dating back to the 19th Century. Featuring a problematic embankment reaching heights of up to 12 meters and experiencing recurring landslides affecting over 500 meters of terrain, the site has undergone numerous ground investigations in an effort to rectify track alignment and elevation issues. Despite prior remedial endeavours, slope movements have endured. In 2012, Pell Frischmann was engaged to conduct an in-depth examination of the drainage system and propose solutions to alleviate ground movement issues at the site.
