The Invasive Species Center (ISC) in Poreč, Croatia, launched an initiative to map and monitor mosquito infestations across the Istrian peninsula, a region vulnerable to invasive species due to its diverse climate and ecosystems. The project involved standardized field data collection on infestation levels, biodiversity, and habitat conditions, which was visualized through detailed maps to support real-time analysis and targeted interventions. These insights informed local authorities, supported public awareness campaigns, and laid the groundwork for expanded ecological monitoring across the region.
