Located approximately 280 km northeast of Perth, Australia, the Mount Gibson Gold Project encompasses a region inhabited by the vulnerable Malleefowl bird. Capricorn Metals Pty Ltd (Capricorn) enlisted the services of Fugro to conduct a comprehensive Geo-data study focused on the local fauna and their habitat. The primary aim of this study was to ascertain whether Malleefowl nests were present in the project area, enabling the formulation of thorough protection and management strategies.
