However, managing the transportation needs of its 1.5 million residents and influx of visitors posed challenges for the Department of Municipalities & Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC). The reliance on traditional taxi booking systems led to inefficiencies in locating taxis and serving passengers promptly.
